We are looking for a graduate or post-graduate to work with us as an Analyst on food industry assignments. We need spreadsheet and slidewriting skills, an analytical frame of mind, energy and creativity, and confidence to work closely within a senior, but supportive, team.


Food Strategy Associates provides strategy consulting services to leading food manufacturers, food packaging companies, and Private Equity firms across Europe. Typical projects include:

  • Providing commercial due diligence support for a Private Equity house acquiring a Continental biscuit company
  • Developing strategy for a Spanish grocery business
  • Evaluating the entry routes for a packaging company entering a new market
  • Operational improvement for a food manufacturer.


Our Analysts provide analytical support for strategy consulting assignments, using market databases, interviews, research data, store audits, financial information, press sources and the internet to help us build a clear picture of important trends and competitive dynamics in specific food markets. Analyst work is closely supervised by an experienced senior consultant leading each project. Training is provided on research, analysis and presentation techniques.


The successful candidate will have a degree from a top European university, very good analytical and communication skills, be proficient in Excel and Powerpoint, and have good business judgement. They will need to be able to work independently and with a high level of drive and personal initiative. Very good English (native or fluent) is necessary. Other European languages are an advantage as is a valid driving licence. Prior work experience in management consulting or within the food industry would be advantageous.  The role is based in Central London so eligibility to live and work in the UK is essential.  Candidates may be required to travel on some assignments.


Food Strategy Associates will pay up to £40k/year for this role, depending on aptitude and relevant experience. A discretionary bonus will also be paid annually
